The Greek island of Mykonos
Mykonos is just about the most famous islands within Greece and it's situated in the Aegean sea, and is among the group of islands called the Cyclades.

Visitors from all over the globe check out Mykonos annually to experience the fantastic beaches, fantastic entertainment and lifestyle and to experience a truly unique visit to Greece.

The streets of Mykonos are almost labyrinth-like and wind around each other. This was done deliberately to make it difficult for pirates that always bombarded the town during the 18th and 19th centures. These great side streets are the perfect approach to explore and enjoy the allure and wonders of the island.

The spot called Little Venice is probably the most popular spots on the island for visitors, and here you could find a wonderful number of shops, art galleries and clubs. It is a part of the island which is alive the whole day and night, and is an area that all visitors will traverse at some time during their breaks on the island.

There are several interesting locations to visit and sights including the Archaeological Museum, the Folklore Museum as well as the Maritime museum are all great places to check out and offer a fantastic insight into the ancient past of the island.

Also worth checking out is the little but hugely important islet of Delos, that's positioned just off the coast of Mykonos. Here you can view the spectacular ancient temples and sculptures. You can find frequent boat expeditions over to Delos, and it is strongly suggested that you attempt to visit this phenomenal place.

Travelling to Mykonos is incredibly easy with frequent flights and ferry services to the island. Through the summer month you can find charter flights coming over to Mykonos from all over Europe, and the island has fantastic ferry connections with Athens as well as other islands in the Cyclades.
